Approach to Therapy

My therapeutic philosophy weaves together traditional talk therapy with ancestral medicine and wisdom.
I believe that tending to trauma requires more than what Western models alone can offer; it calls for returning to and reconnecting with the wisdom and medicine of our ancestors. By integrating traditional practices with modern, trauma-informed care, I offer a space where you can access deep, enduring healing and a grounded sense of wholeness.
Reconexción (Reconnection) to Ancestral Medicine and Wisdom
In this practice, the term “medicine/medicina“ refers to anything used with the intention of supporting healing. This may include rituals, drumming, dance, song, the use of herbs, and other ancestral healing traditions. Similarly, ancestral wisdom refers to reconnecting with the beliefs, knowledge, and practices of our ancestors that may have been disrupted, suppressed, or lost through processes such as colonization and capitalism. Reconnecting with this wisdom and medicine can be a way of restoring what was once interrupted – rebuilding a sense of power, belonging, and groundedness and a remembering of what continues to live within us and between us
Who I Work With
Most of the people I meet with are open to something a little deeper than “traditional” therapy. While these modalities are the foundation of our work together, I also offer the opportunity to engage in additional practices to help you access your own intuition, ancestral wisdom, and a deeper sense of grounding—supporting those who feel drawn to a more holistic path.
I have experience working with people from many different backgrounds, and feel most connected in my work with those who are ready to have someone walk beside them as they face parts of themselves and their lives they may not have been ready to face before. If you are here, it is likely because you feel called to heal and are ready to begin this journey.
